Nice environment. By nice, I mean italian family oriented atmosphere. Nice starter, we ordered garlic bread and eggplant Parmigiana ($15), which was basically layers of eggplant topped with tomato sauce and parmesan cheese, which was simple, but lovely.
I ordered the special of the day, which is the salmon dish (yay). The salmon skin was crispy, but the smoothness and tenderness were not evenly distributed across the whole salmon. I saw some reviews on Urbanspoon complaining about there were not enough sauce on the salmon, I partly agree on that, as I can still tell the salmon was fresh to the point that any sauce would have cover the original taste on it. so to me the level was just right.
I have tried another dish, which is Gnocchi ($20.5). It was beautiful. The dish looks creamy on its appearance, but when you taste it, the gnocchi was mushy, like melting in your mouth.
After all the mains coming through my stomach, and of course I have saved some space for dessert. Like the tiramisu. The flavour had been balance really well between the coffee and the wine. The moose between each coffee dipped finger biscuits was smooth.This is an soothing dessert after all the rich mains.
